In an attempt to integrate diverse governmental functions and services at both the city and county level, Mobile, Alabama, solicited architectural solutions in a national competition. The building includes offices, courts, a public rotunda, and an archaeological display. The major functions of the complex have been placed at the perimeter of the site in a series of identifiable structures. Public assembly and circulation spaces appear as discreet objects at the interior of the complex. This project was undertaken in association with Greg Dipaolo, Architect.
