The Pan Pacific International Exhibition opened on February 20, 1915. The Palace of Fine Arts, which was constructed to act as an art salon, is one of the few structures from the original PPIE that remains intact. iHangar asked MH/A to imagine how the interior of the Palace could be used to accommodate their needs and functions. Public services, including a cafe and bookstore, combine with exhibition space to provide an open public amenity to visitors from around the world who come to experience this beautiful building. iHangar's theme of "TNT" - "Then, Now, and Tomorrow" is expressed in the exhibitions that range from an historic review and perspective of the original PPIE ("Then"), to exhibits on the idea of innovation today ("Now"), to public forums focused on future innovations across all fields ("Tomorrow").
